Tubman helps people of all ages, genders, and cultural backgrounds who have experienced relationship violence, sexual exploitation, homelessness, mental and chemical health challenges, and other trauma. Throughout the Twin Cities, Tubman provides safe shelter and housing, legal services, mental and chemical health counseling, youth programming, workshops and support groups, and community education.

Sojourner Project

The Sojourner Project provides free and confidential services including a 24-hour crisis line, emergency shelter, legal advocacy, therapy, support groups, community presentations, prevention education, community education and professional training. What does it mean to be trauma-informed?

Our advocates understand the impact of trauma on adults and youth. Our staff, services and buildings prioritize physical, psychological and emotional safety and are space for victims/survivors to have a sense of control and feel empowered to make their own choices.
