The WoMen’s Rural Advocacy Programs, Inc. (WRAP) services include a 24-Hour Crisis Line with access to an advocate, day or night, to discuss options or be a listening ear.

We can help connect you with safe housing access to short and long-term emergency safe-housing options; emergency transportation and providing access to transportation options to ensure safety and security; court advocacy and assisting with the completion and filing of restraining orders, attending hearings with clients, informing clients about the court/legal process, acting as a form of support, and helping process the outcome of the hearing afterward; safety planning and assisting with setting up a personalized, practical plan that includes ways to remain safe while in a relationship, planning to leave, or after; information referrals and connecting those with self-identifying needs to resources and support services to help them get through, over or under hurdles they are facing; support groups for those who have experienced abusive relationships, either in a group setting or one-on-one; community education and raising awareness about domestic violence and the support services available for individuals and their families; systems coordination and walking along side of individuals, helping them to navigate their way through resources/community resources and or the court/criminal justice process; referrals and resources for Women of Color and access to culturally specific resources; and SAFE at Home, as WRAP Staff are Safe at Home Application Assistants.

What does it mean to be trauma-informed?

Our advocates understand the impact of trauma on adults and youth. Our staff, services and buildings prioritize physical, psychological and emotional safety and are space for victims/survivors to have a sense of control and feel empowered to make their own choices.
