Victim Services (Dodge, Fillmore, and Olsted Counties) is a trusted resource for education, prevention, and empowerment of individuals, families, and communities impacted by crime. Their advocates are a resource for support, information, and referrals for all victims of Sexual Assault, Sexual Violence, and General Crime.
Advocates are specially trained staff, supporting, and educating those affected by crime and can assist with explaining the various steps of the criminal justice process, understanding your rights as a crime victim, providing referrals to community resources to help meet your needs, filing restraining orders (Order for Protection, Harassment Restraining Order), assisting in financial assistance to help with expenses resulting from crime (example: reparations, restitution), providing support and advocacy during Sexual Assault Medical Exams, providing court advocacy, crisis intervention, support through the healing process, and support through an interview with law enforcement (you do not need to report to law enforcement to receive services. It is your choice if you report or not).
