Communicates Latinas Unidas En Servicio (CLUES)

Spanish: Comunica Latinas Unidas En Servicio (CLUES) es la organización sin fines de lucro más grande de Minnesota, fundada en 1981 por y para latinos para brindar servicios cultural y lingüísticamente relevantes.

Su misión es promover la equidad y el bienestar social y económico de los latinos aprovechando sus fortalezas y culturas, elevando a nuestra comunidad y generando liderazgo para un cambio sistémico. Los programas CLUES brindan a sus participantes acceso a recursos y oportunidades para ser más saludables, más prósperos y comprometidos con sus comunidades.

CLUES agrupa los servicios en áreas del programa para abordar las barreras diversas e interconectadas que enfrenta nuestra comunidad y brindar apoyos que se centran en la persona en su totalidad y en el toda la familia. Su modelo cultural y lingüísticamente relevante conecta las fortalezas de los individuos con nuevas habilidades con el objetivo de promover el bienestar y la prosperidad a largo plazo.

English: Communicates Latinas Unidas En Servicio (CLUES) is Minnesota’s largest Latino-led nonprofit organization, founded in 1981 by and for Latinos to provide culturally and linguistically relevant services. Their mission is to advance social and economic equity and wellbeing for Latinos by building upon our strengths and cultures, uplifting our community, and activating leadership for systemic change.

CLUES programs provide their participants with access to resources and opportunities to be healthier, prosperous and engaged in their communities. CLUES packages services across program areas to address the diverse and interrelated barriers faced by our community and provide supports that focus on the whole person and whole families.

Their culturally and linguistically relevant model connects individuals’ strengths to new skills with the goal of promoting long-term wellness and prosperity. Program areas include classes, health and wellness, survivor support, children and parenting, economic empowerment, arts, community engagement, youth, and elders.

What does it mean to be trauma-informed?

Our advocates understand the impact of trauma on adults and youth. Our staff, services and buildings prioritize physical, psychological and emotional safety and are space for victims/survivors to have a sense of control and feel empowered to make their own choices.
